A Quick look at " Azure Cloud Adoption Framework" :

•Introduction: The Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF Framework) is a full lifecycle framework that enables cloud architects, IT professionals, and business decision makers to achieve their cloud adoption goals.
It provides best practices, documentation, and tools that help you create and implement business and technology strategies for the cloud.

Strategy: Define business justification and expected adoption outcome.

1.Motivation: Why Move ? ( Cost saving, Complexity Reduction, Operation Optimization, Increase Business Agility, Improve Customer Experience, Transformation, …)
2.Business Outcome: What to measure? (Revenue, profit, cost, new market, … )
3.Business Justification: Develop a business case to validate the financial model that supports the company motivation and outcome. ( Using tolls such as: Azure TCO, pricing calculator, cost management). (Cloud Adoption Strategy Evaluator )

1.Digital Estate: Inventory of Assets( Re-Host, Re-Factor, Re-Architect, Rebuild, Replace).
2.Initial organization alignment: Alignment of people who will make the plan a reality. No plan is complete until you understand its people-related aspects.
3.Skills Readiness Plan:
4.Cloud Adoption Plan: Iterative(repeatable) project plan that helps a company transition from traditional IT approaches to transformation over to modern, agile approaches.
Strategic Migration Assessment and Readiness Tool : https://aka.ms/smarttool.

Ready: create a landing zone to host the workloads that you plan to build in or migrate to the cloud.

1.Azure Setup Guide.
2.Operating Model: Defining how technology would support the business ( Decentralized, Centralized, Enterprise, Distributed). Reference.

3.Azure Landing Zone: is the output of
a multi-subscription Azure environment that accounts for
scale, security governance, networking, and identity.

Adopt:

1.Migrate: workloads that don't deserve significant investments in the creation of new business logic. Those workloads could be moved to the cloud through any number of approaches: lift and shift, lift and optimize, or modernize. Each approach is considered a migration.
2.Innovate: We'll focus on understanding customer needs and rapidly building innovations that shape how your customers interact with your products. We'll also illustrate an approach to delivering on the value of a minimum viable product (MVP).

Approaches for all stages:

1.Organize: Mature Team Structure, RACI Matrix(responsibility, accountability, consulted, informed)
2.Govern: Define Governance Solutions (based on Business Needs, Agility, Control Risk)
3.Manage: Cloud Operation (Stability, Cost, Business commitment)
4.Secure:
